Walt Whitman Sampler - Pittsburgh Camerata
Music in a Great Space begins its 27th concert season with the Pittsburgh Camerata singing choral settings of the poetry of Walt Whitman (Leaves of Grass). Some think that the Whitman's poetry has been set to music more that than that of any other American poet except for Emily Dickenson and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Whitman's poetry celebrates democracy, nature, love and friendship.
