The 9th annual Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival (PIJF), presented by Citizens Bank, is a labor of love for the August Wilson African American Cultural Center.
People from around the world who speak different languages, but share a common love for jazz, are invited to spend the weekend in Pittsburgh.
Vibe is everything … “laid back, intimate and inviting” jam sessions, beer gardens, and concerts that flow from one groove to another style of music keep the PIJF fresh every year. The August Wilson African American Cultural Center is a state-of-the-art venue designed by award-winning architect Allison Williams. We are pleased to present free concerts in the streets and ticketed concerts in the August Wilson African American Cultural Center, along with educational opportunities for all ages; Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival is our gift to the community.
